Consistent with our previous finding in human melanoma specimens, we found that AP-2α protein is expressed in the nuclei of non-metastatic SB2 cells but is nearly absent in metastatic C8161-c9 cells (Figure 1C).
It was one of the first of many specimens we found that day from that animal, which we later described and named Asilisaurus kongwe.
In five specimens we found two copies of the gene.
After examining 501 male hybrid specimens, we found that 1% (N = 5) of males had regressed or malformed testis.
Among the specimens, we found that specimen #362C was the only one where high ALDH activity was associated with ER negative status (Table 4, Figure 5B).
In 70% of the biopsies specimens we found down-regulation and/or complete lack of TAP-1 expression, and in 40% down-regulation and/or lack of expression of Tapasin (see supplementary fig. S1 and S2).
In an initial survey of specimens, we found that claw size distributions vary conspicuously and consistently among families of raptors (Figure 1), an observation which has gone largely unnoticed in previous studies (although see Einoder and Richardson, 2007 [20].
In these twelve ESFT specimens, we found expression levels of these pathway mediators to be similar or higher than those in specimens from cell lines known to be in the upper quartile for expression in microarray data obtained for the NCI-60 panel of tumor cell lines (Novartis, http://wombat.gnf.org).org
When we compared UIE values obtained using these two types of urine specimens, we found slightly higher values in the 24-hour collections (56.4 [SD, 2.8] µg/L) than in the single samples (44.2 [SD 2.5] µg/L); the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) but was not clinically relevant.
Based on 592 bp sequence in 4 specimens, we found 41 polymorphic sites (all transitions).
