Dog-bone CLC specimens of length 600 mm and 150 mm × 100 mm cross section (test region) were cast with different synthetic fiber dosages and tested under uni-axial tension.
We consider a GaN specimen of equal length L and width W, L = W = 2 μm.
The static tensile tests showed that there is an important size effect: the strength of the specimens decreases when increasing the size of the specimen, for lengths of 5 cm or less.
