Dr Gavin Broad, an expert on ichneumonid wasps, employed by the Natural History Museum, has confirmed the species which has no common name and no other specimen has yet been found.
And at the exalted altitude of 15,000, possibly the highest elevation at which any specimen had yet been taken, a lone ballooning spider was floating on its filaments, its body borne up on unseen currents.

A fourth, cryptophthamic endemic, M. latens (Fig. 1) is currently known only from the formalin-fixed holotype and two paratypes, and despite considerable collecting efforts at the type locality of Bulu in the middle reaches of the LCR, no additional specimens have yet been obtained.
Protein level analysis of these clinical specimens has yet to be performed.
These species are collectively known from fewer than fifteen specimens and have yet to be included in a formal phylogenetic analysis.
Subsequent collections in the LCR indicate that the two species in fact occur in sympatry at multiple sites along the lower and middle reaches of the LCR as far upstream as the region of Pioka at the border of RC and DRC, above which no specimens of M. brachyrhinus have yet been found.
A few specimens are so new they have yet to be given formal scientific names.
In Maryland, an elderly woman died of E. coli on Sept. 13 after eating fresh spinach, state health officials confirmed, but because of a lack of DNA specimens from the victim, officials have yet to determine whether it was the same strain of E. coli that infected others who ate spinach.
Next, the team hopes to explore other museum fossil collections to look for better preserved specimens of the new Ectobius species that they have yet to describe.
