Based on the "Design specifications of building foundations" (Construction and Planning Agency, MOI 2010), the acceleration amplification of the weakest ground (Class III) is 1.2, while the PGA of bedrock is smaller than 0.24g.
Along with a layered ontology architecture, the ODDs enable an easy, formal, object-oriented, machine-readable, and unified specification of building automation devices of different platforms.
It enables a formal, unified, and extensible specification of building automation devices, ensures their comparability, and facilitates a computer-enabled retrieval, selection, and interoperability evaluation, which is essential for an automated design.
The specification of building products is an important but neglected area of design methods research, taking place largely in the detail design phase where important decisions are made with regard to building assembly and its long term durability.
In this system, the client describes the subject of the order by means of design documentation and technical specifications of construction and commissioning of building works.
However, the functioning of such systems is closely linked to the ambient climatic conditions and to the spatial and energy specifications of the buildings to be cooled.

The focus of this work is on the design of new urban forms but the method could equally be applied to examine the relative efficiency of existing urban settlements, by comparison of existing forms with the calculated optima derived from relevant specifications of the building envelope.
