Recently, the spare representation classification (SRC) [17, 18] and a linear regression classification (LRC) algorithms [19] have been proposed for face recognition.
In our future work, on the one hand we will explore more useful features of both hot spots and non-hot spots, and on the other hand, we will try to develop more sophisticated hot spot prediction methods based on advanced machine learning techniques (e.g., transfer learning and spare representation).
Whisker-dependent plasticity was associated with the potentiation of responses specifically at the lowest stimulation intensities in the spared whisker representation, and specifically at the highest stimulation intensities in the immediately surrounding representations.
We concluded that our BOLD imaging showed rapid reorganization, mainly at the periphery of spared whisker representations in SI.
Hence, the reorganization of local excitatory circuitry follows the same temporal pattern as the expansion and retraction of the spared whisker representations imaged with BOLD fMRI.
