"spare case" can be used in written English.
It generally refers to an extra or additional case that is available in case something breaks or gets lost. It can also refer to a situation where someone is prepared with an extra plan or option in case the original plan does not work out. Example: "I always keep a spare case for my phone in my bag, just in case the current one gets damaged." or "In a spare case, I have also arranged for a backup generator in case the power goes out during the event."
