Taking the maximum stress ratio of the warping normal stress to the bending normal stress as the control index, effects of the number of diaphragms, the span of the curved girder, the span-to-radius ratio, the girder height and the flange width on the stress ratio are studied.
The parametric analysis results indicate that with the increase of the number of diaphragms, the stress ratio decreases exponentially; and with the increase of the span-to-radius ratio, the warping stress ratio increases linearly; additionally, longer span leads to reduced stress ratios, but the variation of the girder height and the flange width has little influence on the stress ratio.
With a 10° skew and 0.06 radians arc span length to radius ratio, the curved and skewed integral abutment bridges can be designed as a straight bridge if a 10% increase is applied to the total induced stresses.
The observations of acceleration at the middle span with respect to radius of curves is shown in Fig. 8.
Shear span to effective depth ratio.
Effective span-to-depth ratio.
clear span-to-overall depth ratio.
Glickman determined Earhart's humerus-to-radius ratio to be 0.76.
In fact, the maximum height is proportional to the radius to this power.
This experiment confirms that the separation force of a natural hooked structure is independent upon the span or radius of a hook and directly dependent upon the component material's resistance to shear.
The class averages in Figure 1D show the range of motion of the dislodged HELCAT, spanning a radius of up to 18 nm from the proposed position of the VPS34 C2 domain to the center of mass of the HELCAT.
