Application methods were classified as residual spraying (spraying interior and peripheral surfaces of houses), space spraying (spraying exterior spaces), treatment of nets (not including factory manufacturing of LNs, which contain pyrethroids), and larviciding (treating aquatic breeding sites of mosquitoes with insecticides).
The experiment had nine water and drip line spacing treatments arrayed in a randomized complete block-design with four replicates.
However, at three of the sites (Woodhill, Tahorakuri and Glengarry) the most widely spaced treatments were established at 500 stems ha−1.
There was a strong negative linear relationship between the natural logarithm of ring width and basic density in this trial, with ring width seemingly able to explain the differences in basic density between the spacing treatments (Fig. 3).
The objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of a single-pass, cut-and-chip harvesting operation in commercial plantings that included four cultivars, two spacing treatments, and two coppice planting designs (dedicated, and interplanted with sawtimber).
The stands in this study were composed of monocultures or mixtures of up to four species and all but one of the five data sets contained different tree spacing treatments, resulting in different vertical and horizontal complexity of the canopies (Table 1).
