From the creative works like Help by Google Spotlight Stories, Dear Angelica by the now-defunct Oculus Studios, The Displaced and Clouds over Sidra by Within, and many more, animated, dramatic, factual and even a hybrid mix of these genres are showing that content producers see VR as the next source of media consumption for the next generation.

As the wider Editorial Tools teams worked on building a modern suite of editorial products, from content authoring and workflow management to editing of front and section pages, the need for a rich source of media became increasingly pressing.

With newer sources of media jostling for peoples' attention spans, the entertainment divisions of the broadcast networks like ABC and Fox are finding it harder than ever to make a profit.
These devices have been displacing television as major sources of media consumption, whether for watching shows or using apps.
