Both monkeys learned to generate some force with unblocked proximal muscles that tended to increase the Blocked MVC, such that the strength increase provided by FES was probably somewhat underestimated (supplementary materials, "Methods S1").
In U-266 and KMS-12-BM cells, inhibition of Akt phosphorylation appeared to be somewhat weaker (Supplementary Figure S1a).
As essential steps involved in trans-migration, cell motility accelerated by PSC-SN or collagen I was significantly attenuated by PF-573228, whereas adhesion was somewhat decreased (Supplementary Figure S2).
