Expect something the size of a telephone directory.
Squeeze together enough of them and you might get something the size of a shoebox.
"We could send something the size of a golf ball," Dr. Shostak said.
She held up her fingers, framing something the size of an ant.
"Once you get a real body into something, the size variations come, like gradients," he says.
Then, it appears, the proto-Earth was hit by something the size of Mars.
Think of something the size of a matchhead that you will probably never see, or even know it's there.
Digestion systems range in size from small household ones to something the size of a shipping container and even larger.
"We collect an intact block of material, something the size of a milk container where everything is preserved in its original shape," said Goldberg.
"What is amazing," he says, "is the ability to take a tiny sample, something the size of a sugar grain, and be very specific".
The screen looks huge, because the bezels are tiny – a 13.3in "infinity" screen fitted into something the size of an 11in laptop.
