The SOLiD BAM files were locally realigned using the GATK local realignment utility [ 2].
A typical analysis carried out by ngs_backbone starts with a set of Sanger, 454, Illumina or SOLiD read files.
After overnight growth, the mutants were transferred on Q-Tray bioassay plates containing LB solid medium (Additional file 1: Fig. S1b, gridding) and activity was detected after Congo Red staining.
Locomotion of all the mutant strains was also assessed on solid medium (Additional file 8, panels A and B).
All strains were homogenously spotted onto solid media (Additional file 1: Figure S2) at equal cellular concentrations (OD750 = 0.2).
It is interesting to compare the solid pinning data (File S2) with that for the 60 strains also analyzed in liquid culture, 6 of which are shown in Figure 3B, and the remainder of which are shown in File S2.
Looking toward the future, we reiterate, that the ideal solution to programmatically convert crystal structures into 3D printable files may be to produce separate 3D printable files for each molecule/extended solid in the CIF file so that no loss of structural representation occurs and users can select the structure of interest to 3D print.
The hiramefun, or "flat dust," is made by filing solid gold and then flattening the flakes between a steel roller and a steel plate.
The combined concentrations (in equivalents) of the major cations Ca, K, Mg, and Na therefore provide a useful proxy of conductivity and the concentration of total dissolved solids [See Additional file 2, Fig. S3].
Then, the aqueous Pb/(Pb + Ca) molar ratios (XPb,aq) decreased with time and were lower than the stoichiometric Pb/(Pb + Ca) ratios of the corresponding solids (XPb) (Additional file 2: Appendix B).
