Using a 0-1-2 scoring systhe, the mesial papilla, distal papilla, soft tissue level, soft tissue contour, alveolar process deficiency, soft tissue colour and texture were evaluated.
In the presented case, a PES of 13 was evaluated, deducting one point for the soft tissue level under critical observation.
In the 10 patients, 22 standard plus, regular neck, soft tissue level Straumann® SLA dental implants with a diameter of 4.1 mm and a length of 10 or 12 mm were placed (Fig. 1).
With platform-switched implants, the shape affects the cortical bone more than the trabecular bone [25], which contributes to the maintenance of inter-implant bone height and soft tissue level [26] and reduces bone loss [27].

Angiosarcoma is an extremely rare type of cancer (<1% of all cancers an ∼2% of localized soft tissue level).
Indeed, although silicon intake and circulating fasting serum levels differed between the silicon-deprived and silicon-supplemented animals, tibia and soft-tissue levels did not and may explain the lack of difference in bone quality and bone markers (except serum CTx) between these two groups.
The PES score is generated using seven items (mesial papilla, distal papilla, soft-tissue level, soft-tissue contour, alveolar process deficiency, soft-tissue color, and texture) and an evaluation with a point score from 0 = very bad to 2 = excellent.
The highest values and therefore acceptance were found in the alveolar process deficiency and the soft-tissue level, which can be interpreted as a benefit of the augmentation procedure around the implant shoulder.
