"Two Olympic victories, the hockey and Crimea," said Trifonova, referring to the Russian team's victories in the Winter Olympics and paralympics held in Sochi earlier this year, as well as in the recent ice hockey world championships, and the annexation by Moscow of the Crimea peninsula.
The protest echoes the calls for athletes to express sympathy for gay and lesbian Russians during the Sochi Olympics.
The acerbic lyrics denounce President Vladimir Putin, the Olympics and a number of political trials going on in Russia, and was accompanied by footage of the women in their trademark balaclavas in Sochi.
The game was played in Sochi, the city that hosted the 2014 Winter Olympics, and concluded shortly before Russia played the US in a semifinal of the ice hockey world championships.
But her presence here was guaranteed once news broke that she had qualified for Sochi by (allegedly – the case is now in the hands of lawyers) fixing four qualifying races in Slovenia, by hiring skiers to perform badly in them, including in the results athletes who were not even there, and an assortment of other comedy felonies.
"When we were in Sochi we didn't really think we'd done that well, and it's taken me a wee while to come to terms with it.
Sunday's ceremony, coming a week after she and Evans flew to Austria to start in earnest their preparations for a new season, brings down the curtain on an unforgettable year for the 29-year-old, who as a result of her success in Sochi was made an MBE in June.
But as an outsider perhaps the most unlikely thing about her year is that, before she started being repeatedly pestered by royals, as she packed her bags and prepared to leave Sochi she had considered her Paralympics a failure.
State media did not cover Nemtsov's previous reports, including one detailing corruption in the preparations for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
"Everything in Sochi is brilliant, it's a great place to live, we don't need these people protesting here".
The women left Sochi later on Thursday to fly back to Moscow.
