Did scientists all somehow assume that because we were smart, someone would value that and want to take care of us?
If I asked you to judge how smart someone is, you'd know where to start.
There is no known connection between IQ and emotional intelligence; you simply can't predict emotional intelligence based on how smart someone is.
I never quite understood why the ability to make small talk was so important or yet why it determined how smart someone was.
It's clever, a kind of plummy cleverness; this is not any ordinary word, but something that had to have been invented, probably by someone very smart, someone like Stephen Fry, and if you say it too you might be considered a little bit smart as well.
