The latter could contribute a large percentage of its streamflow in the Karst region, resulting in a smaller precipitation elasticity of streamflow in Karst regions than that in the non-Karst areas.
However, smaller precipitation amounts are more likely to have a lower D-excess due to re-evaporation of raindrops below the cloud-base or biases in the sampling method.
Small rain events occur widely in arid Central Asia (annual mean precipitation <150 mm), and where smaller precipitation has lower deuterium excess, this results in LMWLs with slopes and intercepts lower than the global average.
The GCM with cloud microphysics only produces the relatively small-scale precipitation scattered in the tropic.

Bioclimatic variables that significantly differed between the clusters K1 and K3 indicated that, on average, K1 localities appear to experience smaller seasonal precipitation fluctuations, colder winter temperatures, cooler temperatures in dry summer months, and less precipitation in the wettest winter month.
To deal with these problems, we make the localization radius smaller when precipitation is observed.
