Data from the Chengdu Plain Archaeological Survey project as well as recent excavations carried out by the Chengdu City Institute of Archaeology indicate that smaller scale settlements were also present alongside these larger walled enclosures (Chengdu Guoji 2010; Chengdu 2002, 2004a, 2005a, 2006a, b, c, 2007; Chengdu and Pixian 2005; Chengdu and Xindu 2010).
In this study, the structures of small-scale settlements in Siirt province and its environs have been evaluated to highlight the cultural aspects of the region.
However, these areas are also found in the lower parts of the watershed, where a small-scale settlement promoting family-oriented cattle ranching was launched a decade ago by the government of Rio de Janeiro.
Local traditions, culture, gastronomy, agriculture, small scale manufacturing, traditional settlements, natural resources of the mountainous part, local products, such as wine and oil, etc. constitute the core of alternative tourist development, strongly connected with the mass coastal tourist poles for reaping the benefits of tourist flows and diffusing local identity values and local products.
This suggests that even in the absence of significant isolation by distance (because levels of gene flow are high at this relatively small scale), much larval settlement may nonetheless occur in the vicinity of the parent habitat.
