High time resolution data obtained by VDP and FM-31 instruments onboard INTERBALL-1 spacecraft were used to study the small-scale correlation between solar wind ion flux and magnetic field magnitude in the Earth's foreshock.
Inter-scale correlations between the factors showed moderate-to-high correlations.
Nevertheless, our models should have been able to capture at least some of any small-scale correlation structure, given that distances between some of the sampled residences were small (minimum distances of 8, 64, and 174 m in Chicago, St .Paul, and Winston-Salem, respectively).
On a large scale the location of graveyards within the forest did not correlate with such factors while at the smallest scale (1 m2 ) some correlations between the density and vegetation or path cover was observed.
The correlation between theoretical and reproduced parameters of small scale magnetic fields is greater than 0.95.
