'slob' is a correct and usable word in written English.
You can use it to describe someone or something as carelessly or slovenly dressed, or someone who is lazy or unkempt. For example, "He was a real slob - his clothes were wrinkled, his hair was a mess, and he never seemed to stay on top of his work."
