The Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development which, since the year 2000, has enriched the global conversation on education with the assessment of student knowledge and skills in the domains of language, mathematics and science, must also align its metrics of educational progress to the kind of competencies that can secure peace, understanding and coexistence.
The Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales (VABS) [61] is a parent-report measure of everyday skills in the domains of communication, daily living skills, social interaction, and motor skills.
Participants reported that most of them were familiar with instructional skills in the domains of patient care, interpersonal and communication skills, and medical knowledge (Likert scale of >3.5) after the 40 h basic training course (figure 2B).
