Alvin has "no social skills to speak of," said Mr. Ganet, the actor who portrays him.
"It gives them the skills to speak spontaneously later on," he said.
But with no applicable skills to speak of, I ended up working in admin at another youth charity.
"Where children are fed and have access to sporting activities and taught some English skills to speak to foreigners; where they can surf the Web.
He used his legal skills to speak on behalf of the very poorest, forgoing a comfortable existence in a city law firm.
"Elders who hold knowledge – they don't have the social media skills, electronic skills or even English skills to speak up," said Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, an Inuit filmmaker, of the capabilities needed to effect change and advocate for Inuit issues.
"I don't know if he understands how the unemployment rates are translated in human lives," he said, adding that Mr. Fuchtel lacked "the flexibility and the diplomatic skills" to speak more carefully.
It's worrisome to me that people coming from entirely different industries think they can foster a successful tech startup without needing much familiarity with the industry or exhibiting any technical skills to speak of.
