In order to achieve the size parity with the conventionally processed, control cell, we have cut it also to the same size 1 cm × 2 cm as chosen for the BNNN cells and have processed contacts in the same way.
It is important to indicate that both SCM and CLM were associated with herd size, parity, management practices, and time of lactation [ 25].

The interactions between litter size and parity showed that for sows in their first, second, and third parities, the percent of starved piglets increased with increasing litter size, but this was not the case for the oldest sows (Table 1, GENMOD, χ3,352 = 13.8, p < 0.01).
