46 47 Patients considered for treatment generally should thus have active disease in line with inclusion in clinical trials, defined as at least moderate disease activity by composite scores, such as by the 28-joint disease activity score (DAS28, >3.2), the simplified disease activity index (SDAI, >11), the clinical disease activity index (CDAI, >10) or similar measures.
Clinical disease activity index (CDAI) and simplified disease activity index (SDAI) are useful tools for the evaluation of disease activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but have not been comparatively validated in Moroccan population.
