Next, the specimens were treated with a secondary antibody (simple Stain MAX-PO; Nichirei, Tokyo, Japan) for 30 min.
All sections were incubated with Histofine® Simple Stain Mouse MAX PO(R) (Nichirei Biosciences, Tokyo, Japan) including the secondary antibody which is reduced to Fab fragment.
An anti-mouse universal immunoperoxidase polymer (Histofine simple stain MAX-PO (M), Nichirei) was used as the secondary antibody, and 3,3'-diaminobenzidine tetrachloride served as the chromogen.

The sections were rinsed in PBS and incubated for 24 h in a Histofine simple stain MAX-PO (rabbit) secondary antibody (Nichirei, Tokyo, Japan) at 4 °C in a humidified chamber.
For the second antibodies, Histofine® simple stain MAX PO (MULTI) and Histofine® simple stain MAX PO (G)(Nichirei) were used.
A simple stain like Giemsa revealed the presence of multinucleated giant cells in the corneal scraping.
The proteins were detected by using Histofine Simple Stain MAX-PO (Nichirei Biosciences, Tokyo, Japan).
Histofine Simple Stain Max PO (Multi) was used as a secondary antibody (Nichirei).
