To detect significant motifs from a given set of sequences, we count the occurrences of equiprobable oligomers.
Enriched motifs are statistically significant motifs in input over background by a p value of <0.05.

Based on 6-neighbourhood and wolf pruning, the tiny and insignificant motifs were eliminated and the surface of grinding wheel was segmented into large significant motifs.
Using amino acid frequencies from the input dataset, unsurprisingly, returned no significant motifs.
For each motif width, we got the top 50 enriched motifs as candidate significant motifs.
No other statistically significant motifs were identified within the exonic sequences.
This algorithm detected significant motifs in all three clusters (Fig. 8).
No significant motifs were found in any of these upstream regions.
And indeed, that chain does appear among the significant motifs of size 4 (see below).
After learning all significant motifs, we combine them into a single model and estimate the model parameters.
