The word 'sickos' is a correct word and can be used in written English.
It is typically used informally and may be considered slang. Example: "The movie attracted a group of sickos who enjoyed the graphic violence and gore."
My trusty old American College Dictionary even defines "programme" as "an entertainment with reference to its pieces or numbers", which is what I suppose the sickos in the CIA were enjoying when they set about their victims.
