Khloe Kardashian appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show a week after the robbery.
Police have released the video, which looks like it may well show a rehearsal of the robbery.
Police statistics, which show a sharp drop in murders, robberies, assaults, burglaries and grand larcenies in the local precincts since 1990, seem to contradict the belief that the neighborhood was safer when Mr. Gotti was around.
"The Joy" was played in court, along with other videos, like one from a surveillance camera that prosecutors said showed an actual robbery in New Rochelle, N.Y.
