You know the age old story of, "this guy I've been seeing is totally taking advantage of my time and energy- F*&^ him", suddenly turns into I shouldn't have expectations.
"I don't think people should have any expectations or hold their breath in any anticipation," Hanan Ashrawi, a member of the Palestine Liberation Organization's executive committee and frequent critic of her group's policies, told The Huffington Post Monday.
As the group's president, Chris Minnich, recalled, "States were saying, we're being compared against each other and if we have lower expectations in our states, that doesn't help us.' Chiefs said, 'No state should have lower expectations than another.'" And like Kentucky, several states were facing a mandatory update to their learning standards.

Students and teachers should have clear expectations, goals and measurements.
