Personal stresses led her to lay it aside (or "bin the Boyne", as she puts it), but she had already started learning Irish for the project (she was going to practise speaking it with her novelist friend Edna O'Brien).
The title she had in mind was "Food Everywhere" ("from planting and threshing to herding and marketing and cooking," she said), and she had already started taking pictures for it, on a trip to Ethiopia last spring.
