A new service helps people save money and resources by sharing stuff with community and friends.
When my sister is on Asos she is sharing stuff with her friends all the time.
"I work with 50-200MB design files and I am constantly sharing stuff with our team of 15 developers," says Alasdair Monk, design director at London-based payments start up GoCardless.
But that's no excuse for Facebook effectively duping users into joining the site in huge numbers on the pretext that they were only sharing stuff with their "friends", therefore locking them in via network effects on the basis that it was a closed/private social network – the anti-MySpace if you will – only to now be told it's all about sharing publicly after all.

You can now see status updates and comment on them in separate Seesmic columns, and in the case of Facebook it also allows you to 'like' and email things so you can easily share stuff with your friends straight from the Web client.
