PEER, MIDATA and Healthbank all pay significant attention to the control that the user has over their sharing modalities and provide a variety of possibilities for personal customisation.
However, one can conclude that neuronal populations are shared by modalities if we can show that there are between-modality fMRI adaptation effects and that these are equally strong as within-modality fMRI adaptation effects.
Syntactic priming from one processing modality to another provides insight into whether syntactic information is shared between modalities.

The differences in inflammation between CRC and non-cancerous conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are not well understood, and a direct assessment of these and other proteins across large enough respective groups is required to gain further insight into the differences between diseases sharing common modalities.
One way to assess therapy quality is to ask lay therapists to rate an individual session using tools that measure treatment-specific skills – elements prescribed for a specific therapeutic modality – and common skills – elements shared across therapeutic modalities (Fairburn & Cooper, 2011; Webb, DeRubeis, & Barber, 2010).
Some of these pathways are shared across respiratory modalities while activation of some neural areas are modality specific [ 15].
