We investigate theoretically the transfer of excitation along a one dimensional chain of monomers for a situation in which initially the excitation is shared coherently by two monomers.
In this regime, the excitation energy is shared and oscillates between the plasmonic and excitonic systems (Rabi oscillations), and typical anticrossing and splitting of energy levels at the resonance frequency are observed.
The simultaneous measurement of pre- and post neutron fragment characteristics allows studying the share of excitation energy between the two fragments.
Importantly, all Qdots share overlapping excitation spectra, with maximal excitation by ultraviolet (UV) wavelengths, meaning that the Stoke's shift for red and infrared Qdots spans hundreds of nanometers, which clearly distinguishes these fluorophores from organic dyes [ 4].
