These findings have been instrumental in shaping criteria for diagnosis and treatment, so much that the presence of the JAK2 V617F mutation is a major criterion in the diagnosis of PV [ 1] and JAK2 inhibitors are in development as targeted molecular therapies for PV [ 3, 13].
The analysis also shows the influence of the variable heat transfer coefficient on the temperature distribution and profile shape with the intention of optimizing the envelope shape criterion.
While the space satisfying the cortical enrichment criterion is relatively broad (Fig. 4C), the space that satisfies the other two criteria is narrower (Fig. 4A, B), particularly for the gradient shape criterion λ (Fig. 4B).
