We here report a case of retroperitoneal SFT with prominent calcification.

We here present a rare case of retroperitoneal SFT with marked calcification, followed by a review of the literature.
In the present case, the marked calcification was extremely unusual but the scattered tumor cells provided typical structures of SFT with positive immunostaining of CD34 and were considered to be morphologically benign.

The reason why SFT coexisted with such significant calcification is not apparent but the fact is very interesting for considering carcinogenesis or nature of SFT.
