Needs can be perceived by the individual and are influenced by cultural beliefs and values (e.g. perceived health status, disease severity, limitation of activity) [ 18].
The categories of airflow severity limitation were defined using the FEV1 cut-off points ≥80% predicted for mild, ≥50% to <80% predicted for moderate, ≥30% to <50% predicted for severe and <30% predicted for very severe airflow limitation.
