Two approaches, empirical and statistical, were described and applied to large data sets obtained from several proficiency panels including many laboratories operating with their own ELISPOT reagents and protocols.
However, the outcome of several proficiency panels such as those run by the Immunoguiding Program of the Cancer Immunotherapy Association (CIP) showed that the gating strategy followed to detect antigen-specific T cells has a major impact on the outcome of T cell assays utilizing the flow cytometer [ 1, 8].
While some of the positions were restricted to Chinese citizens, many of the posts were open to foreign applicants, and several required proficiency in languages like English and French.
The laboratory is accredited and has successfully participated in several international proficiency tests.

Several recent proficiency testing studies have shown problems of both false resistance and false susceptibility with imipenem and meropenem among a variety of enteric species (11, 12).
While examinees' performance on the questions targeting local and global listening comprehension varied among the proficiency groups, scores revealed significant differences for listening skills within several of the proficiency groups.

When performance scores over several rounds of proficiency testing for all laboratories and a particular antimalarial compound (7) were combined, it was evident that there was an overall improvement over time, as indicated with a downward trend in Z-scores (Fig. 1).
