The phrase "settlement of litigation" is correct and usable in written English.
It is used to describe an agreement that is made between two parties to settle a dispute that otherwise would have been handled by the court system. For example, "After months of negotiation, the two companies were able to reach a settlement of litigation, thus avoiding a lengthy and expensive court battle."
