The Chandlerian economies of scale and scope, understood as the fundamentals for the growth of organizations, become economies of repetition and recombination, and they settle in project-based organizations.
"In my first year I was getting settled, getting projects started, recruiting undergrads," she says.
The most important thing, she said, is that the partners on the project settle on the needed cuts quickly and move the project along.
"All of the [tablet] and phone manufacturers have settled on projected capacitance as the best way to do multitouch, but it has been really difficult to scale up," says Jeff Han, founder of Perceptive Pixel.
