While evidence of female-controlled contraception among FSWs in our setting is scant, the limited use of contraceptives in our study is comparable to findings in resource-poor settings [ 1, 2, 26], and may suggest low access to female-controlled contraceptives and reproductive health services in this setting [ 27].
