This report describes the creation of a BAC clone contig on mouse chromosome 11 in a region showing conservation of synteny with sequences on human chromosome 17.
Two contigs aligned to sequences on human chromosome 19q13, three to human 17q, and three to human 12q13.
The human+mouse forward and common reverse primers were designed to bind the same PTGER sequences on human and mouse genomic DNA.
This search yielded statistically significant hits (E < 10-7) for 18 genomic sequences on human, mouse or rat chromosomes X, all of which represent the 5' UTRs of BEX, WEX and GASP genes.
Firstly, the presence of tandemly repeated sequences on human chromosome 4 would suggest that this sequence is susceptible to tandem duplication, something which is further illustrated by the tandem repeats observed in murine and rat sequences as well as the large unresolved tandem repeat on orang-utan chromosome 8.
Thus, we modified this expression cassette by substituting the H1 promoter with the human Cox-2 promoter (in pSCOX−2) or with a promoter sequence containing TBEs (in pSTBE), which represent the downstream target sequences on human genomic DNA of the Wnt/ β-catenin-activated pathway.

The set was examined to determine if extended sequences existed on human genome sequences and if they are registered in the new RefSeq.
When two human sequences from one chromosomal region gave MegaBLAST hits against two sequences of a bovine chromosomal region it was assumed that the sequence between those human sequences on the human chromosome would also have similarity to the bovine genomic sequence between the two hits on the bovine chromosome.
Primers were designed based on sequences of human CD59 and GAPDH.
