We grew a total of four to five plants per line, split into two randomized complete blocks per experiment with two independent experiments separated by approximately 3 months.
Then come years of collecting data, which usually consist of weeks of successful experiments separated by months of failed ones.
Potential replication origins were defined as peaks in at least 2 of the 3 replicate experiments, separated by less than 15 kb.
Twenty-four subjects participated in Experiment 1. Eleven subjects participated in Experiment 2. Ten participants were tested in both Experiment 1 and 2 and these experiments were separated by at least one week.
