'sensitization test' is a valid and commonly used phrase in written English.
It is typically used to refer to testing that is done to determine how sensitive an individual may be to a particular stimulus or substance. For example: "The study required each participant to undergo a sensitization test to determine their sensitivity to pollen."
Torokne et al. (2001) performed the maximization sensitization test, an indirect and less sensitive method used to induce delayed type sensitization, in guinea pigs in order to study the allergenic properties of six cyanobacteria strains.

Both the tiered and majority voting strategies provide a mechanistic basis for skin sensitization testing, but the strategy most suitable for regulatory decision-making remains to be determined.
Such progress provides us now with new opportunities to consider alternative approaches to sensitization testing, including the design of in vitro test methods.
Well characterized methods are available for skin sensitization testing, and although to date no tests for respiratory sensitization have been formally validated, progress has been made in defining suitable animal models.
The ultimate challenge for developing non-animal test methods for skin sensitization testing will be applying our mechanistic understanding of ACD to the design of predictive in vitro alternative test methods.
