The phrase "sense of floating" is correct and usable in written English.
You could use it to describe a feeling of weightlessness or lightness, such as when you are riding on a hot air balloon and it feels like you are floating in the sky. For example, "The gentle breeze and the view of the countryside gave me a sense of floating."
