Sales of unregulated test kits and evidence of informal self-testing by health workers indicate a demand for self-testing [ 5, 6].
Our aim was to validate earlier findings about the frequency of self-testing and to investigate consumers' follow-up behaviour after performing a self-test by assessing the actions taken by self-testers.
