"It was a very small role," he says, "but something in that moment gave me the confidence and self-esteem I needed.
As a little girl who grew up hating herself and who had a crippling level of low self esteem, I grew into a woman who needed and was desperate for the validation of others to determine my worth and value.
He reveals that he has issues with self esteem, ("@BAM_MARGERA: I need constructive critcism [sic] on this shit! I think I like them"), and worries about the subjective valuation of the art market ("@BAM_MARGERA: Real question, what should I price these? It could vary from 100k to 10k or ten bucks, I don't know").
When I went back, I asked my therapist, "If this is actually true, how can I break out?" Surely, if the problem was low self-esteem, I just needed to love myself more.
"I wanted money and self-esteem, and I needed something to get me there quick," he recalls.
She has really ______ self-esteem - I think we need to boost her confidence.
Or, maybe you feel a little unsure of yourself and being liked gives your self-esteem a much needed boost.
That's why I'm proud to be on the board of Good for Girls, a not-for-profit organization that supports girls in countries around the world to gain the education, skills, and self-esteem they need to become independent, empowered adults.
The person with low self esteem needs to know that they care about them because they probably feel like no one does.
If you have bad self esteem, you might need to start your mission to care more by valuing yourself first.
"We see an improvement in people's moods," Dr. Wadden said, adding that there should also be therapy to deal with relationship issues or self-esteem, if needed.
