Moreover, since "war" is forbidden by the charter of the United Nations except in self-defense or if authorized by the Security Council, states hardly ever declare military actions to be "war" any more — they are always self defense, police actions, interventions or the like.
They exploit their rabbinical status to support any conclusion that undercuts self defense Israeli actions without regard to the evidence and without regard to the truth.
For now, Zimmerman has decided to claim his actions were self defense, not stand-your-ground.
But, he noted, "there is a clear distinction between terrorist rocket attacks that target civilians and action in self defense".
This becomes particularly important when the purpose of military action extends beyond self defense or the defense of one nation against an aggressor.
If "self defense" was effected, then what is an action beyond that?
