Clinical (normative) and subjective (self-assessment) evaluation of caries and periodontal diseases have been reported to demonstrate a significant disparity.
Subjects' self-assessment evaluation revealed an improvement for 9 out of 10 parameters on the treated side while the skin status on the nontreated side was considered to show little improvement or even worsen compared to baseline.
