As shown in Figure 4D, the alignments among the 50 selected threading templates are divergent and not conclusive: four templates at residue 46, two at residues 65, 69 and 102 and others with domains almost evenly distributed along the sequence.
The analysis in this paper is based on a few selected threads, and, in line with the majority of discursive analyses, is not intended to be representative, but rather seeks to focus on a theoretically and empirically interesting phenomenon, see for example [ 6, 22, 23].
