We used subliminally segmented streams (25 ms pauses between words) in order to study the subsequent processes after segmentation: the creation of memory traces of segmented words and the extraction of structural information from speech.
However, our study has various advantages over previous work that allow for more accurate acquisition and segmentation of brain images and better characterization of memory performance.
