If Mr. Tuttle set the tone in the first half, Eva Hesse sets it here, with a 1966 black wall sculpture that seems to extrude a long section of black rubber hosing that descends to the floor.
The review of "Guns in American Life," by Jervis Anderson, (Book Review, Jan . 13 was written by Ralph Sipper whose tag line states that he is a rare book dealer and book critic, no firearms expert he, but even he dectects that though the book, "is essentially objective, an anti-gun bias seems to extrude". Where is the bias?
Here, the emotion seems hard-won, extruded from the terse observations preceding it.
